I would not trust them running loose together, most dogs instinct would be to either "play" with or attack the rabbits. My dogs get on fine through chicken mesh with my rabbits but when I was crating them to clean them out Toby was going crazy to get to them.
I think thought that some on here have a happy set up with this sort of thing so may be better placed to give advice!

if we had a dog other half wants a westie, then i would still want George to be freerange in the lounge to. Poppy my other rabbit only gets freerange in the backroom. I woulnt leave them together unsupervised. So I wonder if i got a puppy/young dog whether they would be friends.

Some dogs might be ok, mine have been taught not to chase the rabbits and ignore them while the rabbits are in their run, but the young ones are a lot more interested when the rabbits are lose with them, mainly wanting to sniff and they like the feel of their fur.
They would also like to play with them but obviously no way are they allowed to do so, I wouldn't trust any of them an inch unsupervised not even for a minute even though they are under control with them when I am there and I can let the dogs in the pen with me and the rabbits occasionally come in they are never going to be trustworthy completely.
As a cautionary tale I got one of the rabbits because the last owners dog wrecked her cage to get at her then was found with her in his mouth, she is lucky to be here, please be careful.

I personally wouldn't go for a terrier with rabbits but the odd individual may be ok.
I know a couple of people with German Shepherds who cuddle upto and sleep with the rabbit.
Couldn't have rabbits around my dogs though... I'm fully aware of that!

i have a house rabbit... and just recently had a new dog join the family... now my rabbit owns the place, for the first few wks it was just a matter of rabbit in cage nose to nose with the new dog... my rabbit has no fear of dogs, as hes always had to put up with them, so it was just a matter of what the new dog would do?? ive been very lucky as because the rabbit lays with the other dogs, i think hes just accepted him better.... but im still a little un easy as he is a pup and puppys are playful.. but i must add im not worried for the rabbit, its the dog... my Wabbit has Attitude...

i had a springer that wasnt bothered with the rabbit i think if the dog is at a young age you can try with them better than an older dog my springer died and we got another dog and i wouldnt trust her with him as far as i could throw her its not in her nature just take it slowly with the two all the best

I got Luna aged two and she totally ignores the rats, rabbits, guinea pigs and cat.
The one whoch really bothers her is the tortoise - It really freaks her out. Makes her run a mile!

Thats us!!
Amber lives very happily with Stewie, they cuddle together, drink from the same bowl, clean eachother.
I think stewie thinks he is a german shepherd!!
here they are

we got amber when she was 2 and got stewie a year after as a baby, I think the fact that he was a baby helped.

They are best buddies, the other day I went in the back room and Stewie was sat in the kids gamer chair and Amber was laid beside it with her head on it (very cute)
The only bad thing is that stewie has a habit trying to hump her (but he tries it with everything lol) so sometimes embarassing when people come to visit!
