It wouldn't make much sense to allow deletions. With 1145 posts to your name, it could render a lot of threads meaningless if all those posts disappeared.
Of course legally you might be able to force the issue, that would depend on the T&C's you accepted when joining though.

I signed up to SF 4 or 5 years ago but after a while I stopped posting and eventually I just disappeared. When I came back earlier this year I had to start afresh. So I suggest you have to be patient and eventually you'll disappear.

No. The account remains active but the account owner simply cannot use it to post anymore..
