Courtesy of his interview in this mornings papers (The Mirror I believe), Campo says that Gary Speed is the perfect replacement for Megson and should be the only man to come in and do the job. He goes on to say that Speed has an in depth knowledge of what needs to be done as a manager, and has a great technical / tactical mind when it comes to what he wants to happen on the pitch. On top of this he says that Speed is a great man manager who all players in the game respect.

Just to put a twist on this in the pub after a game at BDTBL a couple of weeks ago, a few people were suggesting that Speed had become a lot more vocal on the sidelines during a game, and him and Blackwell were constantly in conversation on the sideline with Blackwell turning to ask him questions on many occasion during a game. Which is leading a few people to believe that Speed is starting to run the show a bit at the lane and blackwell is taking a bit of a back foot and giving speed a go at running things and it's paying of alately.

Do you think this is the case? If it is and it's starting to pay off, along side the praiseful comments that Campo has given in the press. Should we make it a bit more permanent? I mean is it a joint managership as such with Blackwells name in the hot seat? Should Blackwell Step down and let Speed take over? not that i ever see this happening!

Whats your input on Speed? The Bolton Role? and what he's doing at the lane at the minute and what he should do now?

Speed is a well respected figure in football, and learning his trade as a coach, it would be mo great surprise if at the end of the season, Blackwell was moved upstairs and Speed made first team manager.

Reid has now left the youth academy, leaving kevin Fogg in charge, a role as football director could see blackwell over seeing all our our clubs,youths and transfer dealings. doing a role previously left in the hands of Terry Robinson.

Speed will always be linked with vacancys like Swansea and co. but he has a role to play here.

Interesting, with the years he as had with the kids I am surprised he hasn’t moved to some role in the senior team.
