Any ideas why my Candy Grabber toy isn't working?

i was bought one of these candy grabbers for xmas but we have tried and trioed and just cant make it work!

Sounds a bit obvious really, but, are the batteries the right way round, and have they got some "juice" in them! SORRY!

Have you try another set of batteries even thou you are using new ones. We got a pack of 20, and we thought a game we got for my daughter was not working, turn out that one of the packs of new batteries was out of power even thou we not used them. My daughter has one of these machines to but she has to put a token in her to make it work, does yours have this option to.

My little boy got one of these for christmas he wanted one out of argos but got his for 12 pound at b&m's.

My hubby always say if all else fails kick it lol x
