It seems that the Parkway is closed outbound after an accident.

not sure whereabouts but it seems to be somewhere between the Markets and Handsworth turn offs.

Between Derek Dooley Way and the next exit. Just travelled down the other side. It looks bad.

I joined the parkway about 10 minutes beore the emergency services, about 3 pm, at 15.30 I got to the Parkway business park turning where the police had coned the parkway off, everyone left and most of us rejoined on the lane that goes straight up to the services roundabout, signed for Manor/Gleadless, seemed clear after there.

Couple of cars facing the wrong way on the carriageway, one with its boot and bonnet popped and had clearly been on fire, looked a right mess.

What's it like going towards town on the parkway? Just had a look at the traffic cameras and can't see anything too ominous...

We got caught in this and yes there was a lorry, a van and a car still there at 3.15. As it happens we know 2 of the paramedics that attended the incident and there were 11 vehicles involved altogether.
