Yesterday afternoon I started with sickness and diarrhea. I was constantly vomiting and felt really tired and was shivering. It got worse as the day went on and my lips and hands started to tingle last night.

We called the emergency doctor who seemed to think I had a bug.

I am feeling a little better today but I'm still not 100%.

I just wondered if anyone else had suffered from this recently?

Yes, went and got a bucket at 6am because I thought I was going to puke - then stayed in bed until about 2pm dozing and occasionally getting up to have the trots. I've had lots of sugary pop to help me burp, which makes me feel better and have only eaten a bit of dry toast. Get some Immodium, it helps stem the flow, as t'were.

Hi Nat
I'm not feeling too chipper at the moment but my holes are both in good order so far
I should however if I was you, seek a second opinion from the doc's, how could he be sure you have a bug from the symptoms you are describing ?

Had a day feeling off last week that built up to feeling bloody dreadful by the early hours. Couldn't keep water down. Threw up several times, then diarrhoea, then both. All in the wee small hours of the morning. Lovely.

The feeling really off lasted about 24 hours. Stomach back to being able to eat more or less normally within about three days.

Starting to feel a little better now.

Sorry to hear other people have been suffering too.

The doctor said either food poisoning or a bug. I did take immodium but he said I did the wrong thing because I need to carry on having the diarreah to get rid of the bug (NICE)

Just managed to eat some toast, first thing since yesterday morning. Oh well at least I might have lost some weight.

Bloody horrible though, not felt that ill ever.

Sugary pop is worst thing for the trots.

Sheffield star have got it wrong again, Norovirus is not an airbrone virus but they state otherwise, You catch it from coming into contant with surfaces and food that have the virus on it /in it.

The wife got it last night, shivering and throwing up. Not nice. Batter this morning but aching joints.
