Parkwood academy opened in september this year,it was supposed to be another new start for this school....already i have had a few concerns, the main ones being communication between the school and parents ( or lack of )
has anyone else got concerns about the running of this school....i feel there is no control outside of the academy itself.....also the school uniform...yes really like it but i gave the academy money for 2 long sleeved sweaters in beggining of september and was told delivery would be in 6 weeks...3 months on no sweaters...reasons given were the supplier had messed up but we as the parents have not been informed ...i thought a school was supposed to have an alternative supplier but parkwood does not as the academy says they had to use the present one ???
rant over lol..................
and breath....................

my son went to park and did very well there,he is now taking his a levels at hillsborough college.
The school has teething problems like most things starting out new,we had concerns about the homework or lack of it and our son was behind in his targets for his gcse's but after talking to the teachers concerned we all worked together to turn it round and he got excellent results,go talk to the head and voice your concerns and try to support them, they are some passionate teachers there and overall they are a whole lot better than the old waltheof
