Smoke/Burning smell in Walkley

Can anyone else smell burning in the Walkley/Crookes area? The smell has started coming into the house and a while ago it was looking pretty smoky outside.

I lived in walkley for a few years and it always smelt of something else...i think it was covered in the local newspapers a while back!

It was everywhere a while ago when I drove through, but I couldn't work out where it was coming from. It seemed to have gone when I came back a few minutes ago though.

I took my mother to Walkley medical centre on Greenhow Street about an hour ago and it seemed to be coming from a house garden half way up that street.There's some building work being undertaken on a house and the builders look like their burning something in the back garden.

They need reporting then as they shoudln't be allowed to just burn commercial waste
