3 days to the Reading match.. he enforces a £10 and £5 admission charge. (NO OFFERS HE SAID!!)
VERY VERY DANGEROUS!! if the gate does not increase he leaves himself wide open..the club need the cash in turnover.. he has budgeted for it!!
Is this the way to reach his forcasts??
Strafford has openly refused to back Laws tonight, so that pressure on the manager, pressure on the fans to turn up as well !! hmm
Any news on investment Strafford???

They will be lucky to sell any season tickets next season after the "there will be no offers" lie, this man really is taking the **** out of the loyal fans.

even if he did buy one get one free...the gates wouldn't improve...people have fell out with football....it's no fun anymore.....its just a thing you either do or don't on a saturday afternoon no matter what the cost....
my mates paid £26 last week to go to the game because all the boys were on an all dayer......
but they won't be back next week no matter how cheap it is......you can't even all sit together cos a jobsworth steward says these arn't your seats even though they are empty....football no fun anymore

He is a state of panic, trying to get the fans on his side again, low prices and putting pressure on the manager is not the way forward.
The Owls fans have fallen for his spin and bull far too many times. He should fall on his sword.

If people [our wives] ever knew how much we had paid to go to watch football a few years ago they would go mad. Now it's cheaper than a pack of netto sausages down at hillsborough.
BEER, BEER , EASTBANK WANTS MORE BEER.

i've no doubt we will see a big jump in the attendance for the reading game, maybe around 25k if the other times the offer has been is anything to go by BUT he is going to upset alot of season ticket holders. the other ticket offers i don't think the season ticket holders could really complain about as he said it was this offer that wouldn't be repeated this season.
he is going to have to do something to repay them or he will lose season ticket holders next season if he doesn't

Your dreaming, you think the club will sell what ? an additional 8000 tickets in the next 3 days !
I think the loyal diehards without season tickets may have a cheaper day out, as for increasing the gate i suggest it will not break 20,000.
Such a short notice offer ! current form, xmas shoping added to the fact the last offer 13,500 available £5 tickets failed to improve the gate earlier in the season.
20,000 MAX

i forgot it was so soon, you could be right but i think it will be more than 20k though. that offer earlier is different anyway, you needed to know a season ticket holder, this one you don't. whenever this offer has been put on in the past we have always got near 30k but fans had longer than 3 days to get them

The one time you got near to the top 20s was also a last home match of the season, always a crowd puller like a home Boxing day match.
Offers since have not pulled in anywhere as near as many. That aside its an offer many fans may boycott.
For the reasons i stated before. I also give the supporters more credit than falling for another Strafford gimmick.
It might have had more impact if it was introduced on Saturday as way of an apology for the supporters that turned up, but issueing it today is a sign of panic and desparation.
Radio Sheffield was entertaining tonight, but Strafford needs to take a look at his own achievements/failings. He has lost at least 3000 home fans since last season.

Two seasons ago against Norwich on the last home game of the season, wednesday got the biggest crowd of the championship that season due to the cheap ticket offers, since then they have never had anywhere near the same impact. Strafford was not chairman then, they did not have one.

im not going, even if its only a tenner, i dont care that its cheap, paying to be disappointed and let down yet again with the failings on the pitch. if im wrong (i hope i am) then fair enough but on current form i doubt people would go. no im not a fairweather fan, just fed up of the shambles going on at the minute. besides, with recent form i think fans wont turn up just because of the fact its too cold etc

The reason why i reckon it will be a decent attendance is because you can pay a tenner on the door, something you couldn't do with previous offers, you used to have to prebuy.
