After all the rain this morning and over night I thought I'd take a few snapshots of the River Loxley from Agden Dam down to Hillsborough Corner.

The new Agden Dam overflow in use.

Flooding at Bradfield picnic area (the locals will probably blame people feeding the ducks for the mess the area looks)

The first major rise in water levels at Malin Bridge since the clearance works.

The Rivelin looks very turbulent,

it doesn't seem to be far off flooding the allotments!

Personally I think they should have lowered the river bed another couple of feet at Malin Bridge.

And finally.....Hillsborough Corner (at dusk).

Went to York today and certainly the River Wharfe and the River Cock (honestly it is, I didn't make it up) were both out over the fields at Tadcaster, and a fair bit of countryside seemed to have turned into lakes.

Great photos guys thanks a lot for sharing those, Ive been up Bradfield today and it has been a bit dodgy to be fair, not only bradfield but over to Dungworth and towards stannington has areas of flooding and stuff, I mean luckily it eased off as it could have got a lot worse,

Thanks for your comments guys.
Although Agden was overflowing, Dam Flask wasn't as the dam had been pretty low with the dry September and October we've had. Dam Flask was about 2 feet from it's overflow level and will probably be overflowing sometime this week.

It's good to see the Don and Loxley running freely and not backing-up with tree sets and debris.

I did find it amusing watching cars trying to avoid the 3" deep puddles at the side of the road like it would cause their cars to break That included 4x4s as well.

When I am photographing flooded roads I aways like to see the reaction of drivers : its funny how some panic and some 4WD drivers actualy make a bigger mess than people in cars that are lower , however, I was disapointed to see a HGV oops sorry LGV driver perform like an idiot

Are the drains cleaned as often as Sheffield Council claim that they are? I must admit I've never seen any gully's been cleaned since I moved to Sheffield. If they are cleaned how often or is it a simple case of "they will only be cleaned if someone reports them being blocked", as a money saving idea?
