Class to commence the 1st week of January 2010.

Gym Plus at Crookes.
Thursday at 6.45pm (this starting time can be flexible, feedback is appreciated)

The Stomach Abs are heavily targetted during the 1st section of the class, as are the Legs/Bottom. The 2nd part is a circuit to work all areas of the body.

The class will be ran in an open way, so beginners can train alongside people who want an intense workout. Although the class will at times be intense, the atmosphere will always be friendly.

This class is pay as you train, and so you are not tied into any long term contracts.

Monday Class - Paces Fitness Centre at High Green
Tuesday Class - St Williams Church at Hunters Bar
Thursday Class - Gym Pus at Crookes

Any further info, send an email to fitness123@live.co.uk

Great to hear there are more classes on others days, for anyone who wants to get fit and in shape, these classes are a must and they really do a fantastic job.

I stopped going the class on Tues because my work patterns changed and couldn't get and so signed up to a gym. In comparision for getting in shape, the gym is pathetic and my fitness has without doubt gone downhill.

This option also saved me an absolute fortune, and my fitness levels shot up

Great to hear there are more classes, one class per week made it difficult.

Count me in for this class at Crookes, looking forward to it. Highly recomended

In your post you do not mention a price.
Could you please tell me how much it is.

Thanks.

Hi Shirly

I not put on a price as yet, as I'm currently looking at all my classes and how to make best use of them for the new year.

There are now going to be 2 classes on Thursday at Crookes.

Class 1 = 6.15pm
Class 2 = 7.15pm

I'm in the thought process of whether or not to run 2 circuit classes or 1 Circuit/Stomach Abs Class at 6.15pm, and running the 2nd Class as a Martial Arts Fitness Workout. People my come to both if they are different.

The classes won't be more that £4 each, but again looking at the prices, or it will be £15 for 4 sessions, or £4 if you pay each session

With the Crookes class being fairly close to the class at Hunters Bar, I may alter the format of the Hunters Bar Class (Tuesday) so it is a high level advanced class. The room at Crookes is smaller, and so some of the things I can do on Tuesday I can't do on Thursday.

I will come to a decision over the weekend on how I will structure the 2 new classes at Crookes, when I have decided this I will post next weel

Scott F and Shirly F

If you are likely to be coming could you send me email closer to the start date (or even now if you know for certain you are going to come), email...

fitness123@live.co.uk

Also let me know if you are coming alone or with other people

The room has a maximum capacity of around 18 and so need to make sure I know the numbers and have enough equipment for all to use.

Prices will be confirmed by the end of next week once I decided on the format of the two classes.

This sounds great! I've been wanting to do some sort of fitness / circuit training for ages now but never got round to it and find gyms dull!
I live in Crookes though, the time would suit, and it sounds like the kind of thing Im wanting so book me in please!

The class costs will be

£4.50 for one session, or £15 for 4 sessions in a block.

Format of the classes (options)

Option 1
Class 1 - The Stomach Abs are heavily targetted during the 1st section of the class, as are the Legs/Bottom. The 2nd part is a circuit to work all areas of the body

Class 2 - Martial Arts based fitness workout, kicks, punches against the pads and lots of fitness from various martial arts. I trained in various Martial Arts from 1981 - 2003, so all the fitness stuff would come from my training background.

Option 2
To have two classes that are identical (for people who can't make earlier class). Both classes to be ran in the format as Class 1, in option 1.

Start times
Are you happy with the start times? Class 1 to start 6.15, Class 2 to start 7.15?

Both classes will be high intensity, however as they are ran on an open format, the class will be suitable for all levels. Nervous beginners can use the class to develop their fitness, and fitness freaks will be pushed. Class atmosphere will be friendly at all times.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, as I willl be leafletting the Crookes area from next Monday, thankyou.

I have been going to the tuesday class for a while now, I have been getting stronger and stronger. When I first started going there were some excersizes that I could barely manage, but each week my ability has increased, and now i am able to do a lot more than I ever imagined.

On some cold nights it can be hard to motivate myself to go out and do excersize, but when I have finished the class I feel pleased with myself for days.
I would recommend this class for everyone, as you can work to your own fitness level

Where is Gym Plus. Is it by the Uni Halls or at the Unity? Is it too late to join the Crookes session?

hope you can do a better job of getting people fit than you are doing at organising these classes.
my first thoughts on reading your posts regarding the class times, prices and what will be done in the class were and still are :-
WHAT A BLOODY SHAMBLES.
YOU APPEAR TO BE A COMPLETE COWBOY CASHING IN ON INNOCENT FOLKS RESOLUTIONS.
....GET IT SORTED !

The class on Thursday is on Weston View, and is located near the Grindstone Pub at Crookes. If you were at the Grindstone looking down the hill, you would see some new flats/road leading to them, the Gym is there.

Its not too late to join the session, which session would you like to join?
