.. what do you think would happen?
We keep going on about bring the troops out of Afghanistan .. but others say no, that it would be disrespectful to the families of all those whose children/husbands/sisters (and so on) who had died fighting ..
So if say, from today, no one else EVER joined up .. what would happen?

Actually it is a very good question. I think that however it would never happen. This government have put into place a set of circumstances which ensure that there are around one million young people out of work and hence they have plenty of people available to fight their wars. That is why they created so much youth unemployment in the first place.

Ah I always get those mixed up. I wondered why so many of the underground resistance were masquerading as nice old ladies.

You know about this too eh? Be careful where you discuss it - last time I mentioned this online the black helicopters started appearing over my house, and I get clicks on my landline whenever anyone calls...

Luckily I know the truth. The government have brainwashed conspiracy theorists to theorise about conspiracies so that no matter how badly ministers fail, they will always have someone to feel superior to.

Please do not see me as being so shallow as not to realise the helplessness that some young people feel. I know more about it than you realise. It is not good to have little hope. But if you have just started your degree there are a few years for things to improve. I actually know of some uni students who will not even consider job seeking in the UK, they are looking abroad. I cannot blame them for that!

They would seng YOU a nice official letter with the Queens Royal stamp on it telling you to report for duty to the nearest barracks. Should you refuse to report you'd be shipped off to Wormwood Scrubs
