What should the government, the Conservatives and the LibDems be doing to stop people turning to extremism in the UK?

Stop stealing expenses, stop giving money to bankers, deport thieving romanians and violent somalians and just resign en-mass and let some decent people into parliament.

Culture of education reduces thickos, so educate the young well and consequently the number of ignorant extremists also would reduce. Problem solved.....next!! 
No thinking person would turn to extremism unless of course he is given a well paid job to do their publicity on internet fora, or even a cushy leadership role.

We are continuing the fight, we are still there...and we are there because the present government deems it necessary.

We are about to have a change of Government ,and im sure Mr Cameron will keep our troops out there (as he should ).
just because im 100% behind the war on Islamic Terrorists ,dosnt mean i like this government

I don't think you can stop extremism as they come in all forms but we can reduce it by not getting involved in affairs that do not concern our Country & think about the well being & care of this country rather than let £$£ do the speaking.

There's nothing wrong with having extremist ideas - it's a cornerstone of free speeech that we should be able to express any ideas we wish, hence there is no need to stop extremism. For example it's perfectly acceptable to say that you'd like the UK to one day be an Islamic fundamentalist society so long as you don't use terrorist activities to attain your goals.

Deliver policies that serve the interests of the British electorate !
Stop thieving and lining their own pockets at our expense.
Stop sending our Servicemen to kill and be killed on behalf of US/Israel alliance.
Stop transferring sovereign power to Supra National bodies (EU)
Stop importing massive excesses of labour to drive down pay and conditions.
Simples !
