Hi all..

Looking at a apartment to rent in Darnall (Cuthbert Cooper Place). What is the area like? What buses run into town?

Any help would be appreciated!!

Never spent any time there, but a word of advice; you'll get people that actually live there who reply - and people who don't (who'll bang on about foreigners). Listen to the former, ignore the latter.

Always had a soft spot for Darnall. Lived on the Triangle Estate in my youth. High Hazels Park is lovely.

Depends what is important to you. It is a cheaper option if money is the limiting factor but if it is not then there are many other areas you could consider

Darnall can offer quite a bit, plenty of local shops open seven days a week from early til late,Asda just minutes away by the 52 bus which runs every 5 minutes(allegedly) It does not however offer any pubs for decent people but the White Rose is minutes away if want a pint. The locals are another story though, take a walk around in the afternoon and again at night, then make up your own mind. I have lived here for over 10 years with no hassle and like the fact that there is a lot on your doorstop.
