I've been watching this thread as I used to live on Batemoor in the 1970's when it was a nice family friendly place to live. Where are the shops on the estate? When I lived there the nearest shops were on the Jordanthorpe Estate.

Lived on the batemoor, jordanthorpe and lowedges years ago and still visit friends up there. The maisonettes are spacious and nice inside but I would not live on one of those blocks now if it was free.
