Just been listening to Radio Sheffield. Children from Belarus are coming to Sheffield towards the end of the month. Whilst I cannot offer board for one of them I can knit. I thought we could as a group knit some hats, scarves, socks, toys - whatever your interest.
Who is up for a knit along?
I can co ordinate it so we have a mixture of things. I could do a hat and scarf set - not a quick knitter. I also have a lot of crochet squares which could be joined into scarves and others could help with knitted hats etc.
Please add your support below if possible

I would definitely be up for this. I would have to be in the scarf camp as that is the one thing that has a moderate chance of coming out right!

Let me know when these are needed for etc as I'll need to get some more wool and some bigger needles!!

I would knit an item in this knit along. Have they said they want these things or are you being your generous self?

Could use the pom -pom yarn scarves and some socks. Might knit the smaller sizes and use some of the left over sock yarn. I'm in.

Just thought we could give the children something they can use here and take home. It is just a little thing which we could do. ANd it is always nice to get something hand made!

I was thinking of making a toy, but will probably stick to the hat and scarf. Ravelry has lots of patterns for charity hats etc so there are no copyright issues.
