iv just joined 2 weeks ago and use concord, enjoying it loads at minute and saving loads from not boozing as much and feel better for it too. If you wanna stay away from the muscle freaks then dont go near the free weights lol.
also a little tip you can sign up for 3 or 6 months and its still the same price, i would recommend the 3 month plan becuase no one knows where you are going to be in say 7 months time, you could move away for work, have an accident where you wont be able to go to the gym for a few months etc

If you give them a ring you can have a 7 day trial, thats what im doing now.
To be fair they have done up the ponds forge one up it is definately as good as most of the other gyms in sheffield now like greens- but its for virtually half the price.

Well your very lucky then cus I just joined and been to concord today and spoke to the admin again about this and they told me the same as last time NO wk trials anymore only DAY ones.
As to the gym itself is was ok some of the equipment is not as modern as sam jones where I used to go but its well worth the money.Im going to try don valley tommorow so will update about that one later.

When you go to the sauna and steam rooms at concord you have to show them your membership card even though you get given a armband at reception?now who wants to carry that around when you are almost starkers in the stream room?

Well just been to don valley gym and I was impressed,it is more spacious than concord ,the only down side is the showers are poor, the shower head is about 5 ft above the floor so unless you are quite small you struggle with it,and there is no temp adjusment so its one temperature for all,and it wasnt very hot to be honest.
But that aside the facility is worth a visit and has ample parking.
