Just read this article on Windows 7 and was stuck by the idiotic comments of Steve Balmer at the end of the article.

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-st...n-1807035.html

"Let's face it, the internet was designed for the PC. The internet is not designed for the iPhone," Ballmer said. "That's why they've got 75,000 applications - they're all trying to make the internet look decent on the iPhone."

He shows how little they understand about the appeal of having access the web on an iphone or similar portable device, and how having customized applications for dealing with different functions is a good thing!

This is why MS is always playing catch up to Apple and never leading the way. Its a total disregard for users that got them into the mess that was Vista. Looks like nothing has changed.

I'm really fed up of Microsoft at the moment, and all the sheep who've been taken in - even supposed IT professionals - by this saviour that is Windows 7.

I actually find him quite entertaining...

Mind you that's in the same way I find religious nut-jobs entertaining.

It just seems absurd that someone in his position could still view the 'internet' as it if the last 5 years of technology hasn't happened.

Small, powerful devices and usuable web browsing on the move are now a reality.
I use my iphone in preference to my pc (well mac actually) for things I wouldn't have thought possible 5 years ago. Emails come straight to my phone, 24 hours a day wherever I am, I can buy things on ebay, read the latest news, share photos and videos without even having to switch my mac on.

This is why MS will never make a decent mobile operatiing system - they simply don't understand them.

tbh Microsoft would have difficulty writing software that would fit in a mobile device they'd add too many unnecessary features like they do with their bloated pc software

They've been writing Windows Mobile for years! - even the latest one - 6.5, is not any good.
They've gone with a frankly STUPID honeycomb icon arrangement.

Typical ugly MS rubbish.

Those new Windows 7 adverts are irritating, especially the "I told Microsoft and they listened".

So why are Microsoft not listening to the thousands who have asked "Why have you removed the 'Windows Classic' theme and what are you going to do about it?"
