i took my dog to ecclesfield park last night, sat on the bench by the side of the stream as i always do throwing the ball towards the grand stand.
on the grand stand were 3 kids about 15-16 yo,dont know what they were doing but after 20 mins they started walking towards me.
then as my dog was running towards them to catch his ball they headed for the path still walking away from the band stand.
An old lady was walking behind them with a dog,as i looked away from them(watching football practice)i heard a smashing sound.
Anyway when i look around the 3 kids are laughing and walking past the stream, the old lady's walking into the field where my dog is running so
i go up to her and ask what the matter is and she tells me these 3 lads have just thrown an empty lager bottle over and it's smashed.i can only presume this was meant for my dog,by this time they are near the gate at the bottom of the park so i get in my car and go looking for them to have a word but they've gone.

so if one of you 3 children are reading this i hope you know i go there quite often so will prob bump into me again, hope it's dark. oh and my dog his as nasty as he looks.

In my experience, there is more 'scum' in Ecclesfield.

There is a lot of scum who do come from outside the area, but theres plenty of locals too,
its what happens when people don't do something to stop them from being moved here, most of them have come from outside the area and are now ruining Ecclesfield for those of us who have lived here all our lives,

We know where the ring leaders live,as a lot of the parks other visitors keep their eyes open

JJ..

Thats it something goes off in eccelsfield and it can be anyone in eccelsfield to blame, its got to be someone from shiregreen. Take it there are no gangs of teenagers, idiots and scum that axtually originate from eccelsfield then. Take your blinkers off please

Same in all areas IMHO

I live in the south of the City and as the dark nights pour in a wander down the shops just to get a paper or a take away is often met with a torrent of abuse for most adults.

1. the bottle landed and smashed where my dog had been running for the last 20 mins.

2. i live in parson cross so i'm not a jumped up toff at all dear.
just a normal person trying to exercise his dog in safety.

Ecclesfield is no more it has been swallowed up by the sprawling estates, the village feel is gone, so far as I can see all it is now is a selection of shops and pubs, it is no better or worse than anywhere else.
Ecclesfield never was perfect and I should know I was brought up there, my Mum still lives there and I now live in Shiregreen so comparison is not difficult.

Oh and the kids sound lovely wouldn't put anything past them these days, pity there is always the minority of kids that bring the others a bad name no matter where they are from.

Unless your dog was running in a square foot of about 2 metres for 20 minutes, then I don't see what your point is here?
