Taskbar icons - two have escaped

Hi
Although both options are working, the icons for internet and volume have disappeared from the taskbar (Vista). I have been into the control panel and it is showing icons but under Taskbar and Start Menu Properties only Clock and Power are selected. Volume and Internet are grey. Why has this suddenly happened. It's making me uneasy...

It seems a common problem.

Try the instructions here from step No.4 (Now open up the Task Manager...) for stopping and restarting explorer.exe and see how that goes before getting into any registry editing.
