Bad news if you are planning on using the A1(M) this evening. It is completely closed Southbound between Junction 35 (Wadworth Interchange) and Junction 34 (Blyth). It is also closed Northbound between the A57 (Five Lane Ends) and Junction 34 (Blyth). Northbound traffic are having to divert down the A57 to the M1 at Junction 31, before returning back to the A1(M) after running onto the M18 at Junction 2 (Wadworth Interchange).

Severe delays in the area, with both incidents remaining to keep the A1(M) closed in Doncaster until at least 8pm.

Traffic is very slow, as you can see from the live traffic cameras here - http://www.sy-transport.co.uk/traffi...y_jam_cams.htm

They both did sound like they were quite bad, particularly the lorry fire.

And it's closed yet again, though this time it is for inspection of the carriageway, due to the fire damage from the lorry the other day
