I noticed on the website that we are only opening the South Stand for the above game.

A couple of observatons/queries on this:

Atmosphere- I actually think this will be better, people gathered together should create more noise
Brian Laws- I bet he's going to love standing in front of the crowd if things aren't going well
What does it hold- Not sure what this stand holds, not sure if they will include Family Stand and not sure what the anticipated attendance is an whether these can be accomodated.

On the whole I think it is a good idea if rather sad that we are admitting now that it will be nearly empty.

I just hope we've thought the logistics through

Not sure you'll have that choice, any idea what it holds and whether this includes the family area!!!

How will this affect sales of meat pies and drinks, people wont want to queue and spend their money and so wednesday will lose income.
Also where do they expect to put the Rochdale fans and where will they be able to park up thier tandem ?

Corker, I have done the South Stand for donkeys years, ever since there was a cock up on the Kop turnstiles, the price on the Kop was five shillings, my mate and I decided to leg it to the then none segregated Leppings Lane end. As we passed the turnstiles for the South Stand we noticed the then uncovered seats cost six shillings and sixpence, we have been there ever since, a bit more expensive now.

The bottom of the South Stand (the old uncovered seats part) is still fine, believe me, no prawn sandwich brigade there. I have never felt comfortable more further back but still like my old uncovered seats part of the ground.

it will be a wierd atmosphere tbh, never keen on games when this is done but i can understand them doing it, even with all stands in use i bet the attendance would only be around 10k, unless there was some kind of offer on.

I think it will be better, at least with everyone together some noise wll be made (good or bad), whereas it would be a bit like spot the fans if all areas are open.

Canada Blade does have a point though, will we open an area for away fans whilst denying our own fans the same option?

What is this cup-tie season ticket thing it mentions, does it just mean you can't have your normal seat or can you buy one that covers cup games?

On Saturday the south was cramped at half time, and it took pretty long to get a pint, and there was only about 3000 wednesdayites on it then.
