Hi,

I have studio pinacle 9 which is rather old now. I need to edit some of my films to get them to look like vintage footage, any ideas what programme I can use. I have a Canon MV camcorder.

You could take a look at a great piece of freeware called virtualdub (http://www.virtualdub.org/).
Aswell as all it's filters, you can find compatible ones here:

Virtual dub is only good for finalizing final cuts, video conversions and audio re-synchs, it's not that great at general editing. another vote for avidemux here
