I tend to send away for my prints on the belief I'll get better quality prints than doing it at home (and probably more cost effective!).

One reason, i use a company up near newcastle to do my printing for me. The quality is exceptional at very reasonable prices. I would never get the same quality using a £600 A3 printer.

I print the odd photo at home, but usually order elsewhere as the quality tends to be a little better.

I use DSCL for my stuff that needs to be of a higher standard: http://www.dscolourlabs.co.uk/online_photo_printing.cfm

And PhotoBox for general stuff (but it's still high standard).
