Hi,
Not been for about 5 years and believe it's now on day ticket?
Any regulars out there who go? Is it fishing well? I used to catch crucians all day on bread and pellet.....is that still the best bait to use?
All help would be much appreciated!

It's up the Porter Valley - just past Bingham Park but before you reach Forge Dam. Lovely spot - although I have no idea about the fishing question. Perhaps go along and ask - there's always loads of people fishing...

The Council leased the fishing last year I think, and now there's a daily charge. i must say the person who has the lease has cleaned the place up.

i used to go all the time before the guy took it over. to be honest i think he has ruined it. i think it seems to fish allot differently now. I used to catch allot of crucian's and tench but now it seems to be more roach and skimmers. so i havn't been back in a while.

he's never going to get rich though, how many anglers can fish here in a day? 10? 12? 15? 20? He'd make more money running a shop but he's chosen this. Good luck to him. I actually think £3 a day is cheap, even for youngsters.

i used to fish it a lot about 6-8 years ago and it was a great day out. ive been a few times this year and so far its nowhere near as good as it used to be, the crucians are very hard to get going and there just doesnt appear to be the same amount of fish in there.

Got charged £4 (or £3.50 cant remember) a few weeks back to fish it,
It's very shallow and very busy with dog walkers and walkers.
Sorry but I can't see the point of fishing it anymore when I can fish Pinchmill for the same price or put a quid to and a couple tins of plumbrose and go to the straight mile.
Ok when it was free but sadly not worth it anymore IMO :0(
