Thanks Poppy. I do like Fish and Chips myself but I beleive the British public now prefer the good old curry.

Lets see the results of the vote

Thought I'd bring this back to the top, as it was back in the early days.

Happy now Mikey?

My partner makes far better curries than you can get from a takeaway but we tend to have the reduced fat chips when we have f&c at home. That's why I voted f&c, for the fat.

The problem with fish and chips is there is only fish and chip on the menu, unless baked beans and mushy peas count.

Whereas an Indian menu, well there are too much to choose from.
Nan bread, Poppadoms, potato and onion baji, samosas, rice in various flavours and not forgetting the wide range of curry flavours and spiciness.

I could live on Indian for a month because I can vary my choices but can I live on fish and chips for a month? No, so for this reason an Indian wins it for me.

Fish and Chips - although I haven't yet found a chippy in Sheffield that understands what a portion of chips actually is!! Nor do they seem to understand that when i want fish I don't want ten tonne of batter and a sardine sized fish!!

but hey - compared to the indian places I have eaten they beat em hands down.

I am a chinese food fan myself. Currently anything with cashew nuts in em - mmmmmmmmmmmm

(Cleethorpes= Best Fish and Chips)

But take me to Bradford and I wouldn't dream of having fish and chips.

Chish and Fips for me.
Still remember sitting down with them all wrapped in newspaper and being positively encouraged by my mother to eat with my fingers.
Strange they never taste quite so good now as I remember tho...

I had a fantastic fishcake, chips and peas from Mannings in Woodhouse on saturday. You really appreciate them if you don't have them very often.

The Admiral in Beighton offered to make me a load and freeze them to take back home!

I voted for fish & chips - but I prefer pizza after or during a cold beer session - can't stand the 'muck' they put in so-called curries.
