Just read this week, 'The knitting circle' by Ann Hood and 'Divas don't knit' by Gil Mcneil. I really enjoyed them. Not the best writing i've ever read but was nice to read something that was and easy read, and get a fiber fix even if it was by proxy. Had a look on amazon and there are loads of them. Any one else had a read of these books?

Have not had time to read anything but a knitting pattern in ages. Don't think i'd read these, but i've got two books about the women's land army waiting for me, and i love the Ladies Detective agency books, and Kathy Reichs, the Bones series.

I like stuff written by Stephenie McPhee (the Yarn Harlot) - probably not fiction really but her humour is great I'm supposed to be reading childrens fiction at the moment though.

Have to say I thought Divas Don't Knit was dreadful - It has put me off reading any more 'knitting themed' novels!

I can see where you are coming from daisycat. Like I said they aren't the best pieces of literature you could buy, but sometimes I just fancy something that's a bit rubbishy, you know like some films are? I don't like reading about celebs so I have sort of discovered that this just tickles that spot. Now by the time I've read another one or two, I may just be pleading to read one of my work books.

I'm embarrassed to say - I did!! Although I was reading it on holiday last year and had sunglasses on, so I think I got away with it!!!

I'm sure I read somewhere that it was going to be made into a film.

Read this on holiday a couple of weeks ago. Did get a bit tearful but that's probably because the poor soul was a wool shop owner and it was a bit close to home!

It's on my list so I willlet you know.
Poor Jill - it's only fiction. I'll try and come in on Saturday and buy something else to stop the nightmares from returning.
