It's my OH's 55th birthday on Wed 13 May. I'd like to treat him to a good rock gig - does anyone know any good bands playing on either 9th or 16th May?

Lets see if I can make this work....

Linky?

It worked!!! Should be all the details there for you - can pay on the door if you like, and its at Plug, which is kind of near the moor, near that big Currys/Comet/Dixons on the roundabout (that probably makes no sense at all! )

Sorry Moosey - being a bit dim! Missed Plug bit. Are you any good?? Be honest. Other thing is, we've never been to Plug - would we be too old (on the outside anyway). We go to Corp sometimes. What do you think?
I'm 50 next and OH will be (nearly) 55.

I think we're good, but then I'm bound to be biased I suppose. I'd imagine with there being a good few bands, you'll find something you'll like.

You'll not be the only one over 40 by the way, I'm sure of that. I'm heading that way with worrying speed!

Thanks - bit late for his birthday, but 26th is our anniversary (of meeting), we're not married! It'll be 7 years...

Cheers - that sounds about up our street. Are you going? Might see you there. I'll be the old codger leaping about at the front (until I fall down anyway!!) Still, if you can't make a fool of yourself at my age, when can you??

Piston Broke's lead guitarist Shane is rated as one of the best classic rock covers guitarists in the region! :-)

Thanks. Well I really fancy it and think my man will be into it, but its his birthday not mine so its up to him. We've seen a few bands at West St Live and have usually been good.
Could do Corp after - if its not raining - I smoke!!

Yep, its actually the loading bay for deliveries

It may be an idea to get a few cheap umbrellas for the women who want to go out for a fag.....think the 99p shop on angel street has loads.
