Hi All.
could anyone tell me if this is possible?

What I need to do?

and what paint is best to use?

I will clear varnish it after.

its a wooden fire surround attatched to wall
Any help would be great as I havan't done anything like this
and havan't a clue where to start or what to do.
I am wanting the wood to look like black/grey marbled effect.

Thank you
heres a pic of it... (electric fire) never used, only for the lights effect.
