I know this doesn't quite apply to this sub forum but I thought it would attract the people in the know - the foodies. Where do people buy their fresh olives? Where's the best place to buy? I have been going to Waitrose as they have been outstanding, but they've delisted a particular favourite of mine, a raspberry vinegar seasoned Kalamata...

Any pointers really are appreciated!!

Graze.com might sell them?

The euro markets always have them when they come too.

There's a stall near the bottom enterance to the fresh food market (castle market is it?) that has many types of olives. I'm liking the massive fresh queen olives at the moment, I cant remember if they do yours.

Costco has good queen olives - but not quite as fresh, and Greedy Greek on sharrow has a selection.

Raspberry vinegar sounds interesting, not tried those before!

There's a bloke in Castle Market who has recently started a stall - he sells loads of different olives and they're delicious.

Please can someone call me a heathen!

I buy my olives from Sainsburys at Millhouses. The little black (kalamata) ones with basil and pine nuts are very tasty, as are the mixed olives with preserved lemons. I'm sure they're not the best in Sheffield but at £3 for a large pot they're not bad for every day use (cooking, wine munchies, sarnies etc).

Never been, just know of it's existence.

Some friends have said that it does good food, but never had olives
