Hi all, just wondering if there are any thoughts on the area, looking at houses there abouts.

Mill houses Park and Supermarkets nearby- great. Little one is 3- I know Holt House Infant got a 1 Grade from Ofsted, but not much else about the area.

Any thoughts would be great. Thank you.

We have lived quite close to there (Millhouses side) and enjoyed it. Supermarkets good, park great, couple of restaurants. Dont know about schools. I thought the schools around there were not too great but I have not looked into it carefully but Carterknowle juniors I think is OK I think. We moved further up the the hill as Abbey Lane School is good serving top end of Woodseats. Roads can be quite busy around there but you may not mind that.

We live very near there - we looked round both Holt House and Carterknowle - and although we loved Holt House - Carterknowle really didn't grab us! We chose to send our kids out of catchment... area is fine though.

Hi,

We have a house for sale on Bannerdale road, just up from the junction with Archer Lane. My husband grew up in the area and we aren't moving far (his parents live round the corner so don't want to). We love the area, particularly as it is so close to walk to Nether Edge and also not far from Ecclesall road, Abbeydale road, Millhouses park and the Supermarkets. Good location in my view anyway. We are only moving because we have seen a project we want to get our teeth into... and only 5 minutes up the road too.
