i received text and rang number - they said they were meadowhall security and they were doing a test. As i do not work at meadowhall they apologised and told me to ignore the text.

I overheard a lady on the tram last night who also received this text.

She phoned the number and it apparently went through to the Security team based there.

They said it was a 'system test' they were running for advising of potential issues and that it had been sent to everyone held in their system in error.

Now whether they are holding your personal details in error is another matter and a potential breach of Data Protection.

Yep I got the text, used to work for Meadowhall Customer Services so that may explain why they have my number. At least now I know who it was from ............

yeah me and a friend got that as well, we later got told there was a bomb scare at meadowhall, not sure where that news came from, just what someone else told us
