Anyone know why Lager makes you belch in a different way to Cola or other drinks ? Are some Lagers worse than others ¿ I've looked on the net but even the wikipedia article is lacking. Maybe some research is in order - I wonder if a drinks firm will sponsor me ?

Tesco Value lager seems to be a 6 on the belch scale (defined using characteristics of flavour, nasal outgassing and volume of sound and gas per swig size)

Could be the fermented hops and yeast in the lager, cola is just carbonated sugar and water really.

And how come some people can make themselves burp??
I can`t do it, in fact when I try I almost pee myself, but my kids are brill at it!

I can make myself burp...but im more concerned to discover that people actually drink tesco value larger...its made my brain twisted & inside out.

Nope, you're perfectly logical in being concerned by that. Just as I'm concerned to the fact that people buy asda smart price vodka!!

in relation to the OP, I don't really find lager makes me burp that much, but carbonated drinks make me burp like there's no tomorrow. Think its due to all the gas in it!
