Hi..

How do I connect a Subwoofer and Amp to the standard Corsa D cd player?

If you know how to, could you please tell me?

Thanks

Mod Note

Hi Steel City, you've posted in entirely the wrong section (was originally in Small Business Help). Please be sure to check where you're actually starting a thread.

Not sure about the standard CD player, but in general:
There should be phono sockets/wire sockets for the subwoofer output on the back of the player, you connect these to the amp inputs. And there should also be a cutoff wire, this tells the amp to turn off when your player is off - otherwise the amp will suck all the power from your battery.
So stick your amp and sub in its place, connect the battery leads + subwoofer leads + cutoff wire to the amp and then connect the sub to the amp.

Dont worry too much if your standard stereo has not got the RCA outputs as long as your amp has got high input connectors(usually screw down 'clamps'),you can just connect your cars speaker wires to this and then obviously connect all your power/earth leads-like the post above says-make sure you connect the remote wire-it can go to the electric arial wire on your stereo or add it to the accessory wire from the ignition(so your amp is not on all the time.DONT FORGET---if you are removing your stereo-make sure you have the code cos Vauxhall standard stereos are usually coded!! Hope this helps. If you are still struggling-pm me and you can bring the car to me and i will sort it for you-FREE(or maybe a chip butty!!lol)

It was originally in Sheffield Small Business Help. And my sig is exactly what's specified in the posting rules.
