Just wondering what people thought about Graffiti in and around the city, a work of art or destructive?
also, opinions of art culture in sheffield in general? do many of you visit exhibitions and galleries?

Depends what and where the graffiti is. But one man's art is another's vandalism. As for culture, well, is there even more than one gallery?

Graffiti is vandalism, if you paint on someone elses property it doesn't matter how good a painting it is its still vandalism.
Sheffields Art Culture needs to expand to include some of the bigger crowd pullers, - Bodyworlds by Gunther Von Hagen, works by major artists. What we have is good but we need more.

For me Graffiti has 2 forms.....destructive and constructive,.......the graffitti on the rutland arms is good.....the tags you get are basic and very crude.....

Sheffield use to be the graffiti capital of the uk , unfortunatly most of the real graffiti artists are too old now for graffiti it seems , these days it appears more tagging and vandalism than art

i dont realy understand how you can get pleasure out of tagging your name on a wall ..however graffiti full of images and none vulgar words often brighten up less attractive areas in sheffield.

I am in support of real arty graff but not tagging. Tagging looks a mess, real graffiti looks good.
3:15 got sentenced for his vandalism btw.

Any details? I was very curious as to why 3:15 and never heard about anyone being caught for it.
