Don't bother with it. Get a copy of the original japanese version, "Ring", which is far more scary.

Well I don't know about the rest of you, but I sure jumped out of my skin when the weird lass came out of the TV! (Sorry if thats spoiled it for any of you) It's probably just my jumpy nature I guess!
My boyfriend took me to see it, and boy was I glad of a pair of arms round me! hehe!

Fab film!! Most scary part is about 15mins in (when they look in the wardrobe) scary faces dont do it for me...
1st time I watched it on DVD - my phone went off in a timely fashion - needless to say I didnt pick it up......just incase....

Haha Well I Was Watchinn It Withh My Friend And There Wass Just Me My Friend And My Brother In The House And My brother Knew We Was Watchinn Ring And At 10 Me And My Friend Was Likee Omg Its Nearly 10 Then At 10 My Brother Ran Me, Me And My Friend Cr*pped Our Selfs And Ran Out Side Scearmin Because My Brother Put 141 In Fort Of The Number So Once We Got Inside To Cheek It Was My Brother Ringing It Said WithHeld And We Scearded Againnn.... So Funny But Soo Sceary At The Same Timee :L x

The remake is pants compared to the original.

The original is better than the remake, but the original isn't all that good, it's not what I'd class as scary, it's a pretty normal Japanese horror film combo of tortured spirits/ghosts, very white children with long balck hair, a mad plot and some weird camera work.

I like The Ring, as Nick2 says, it is quite typical of a Japanese horror film but it was the first one I saw so it stuck in my mind more than the others.
