Is the atmosphere really that bad at S6 that you need that load of tripe back? Nothing ruined the atmosphere more than the band... Dave Allen may have done many bad things, but the best thing he did for you was keeping these misfits quiet and letting your crowd make their own noise...

United have been proven right, nothing diriputable about that. And as for the amount of money,a dozy 10-15 or 25 million extra over five years would have your lot dancing on the rooftops.

The whole of football was brought into disrepute by WEST HAM not by Sheffield United.
Sheffield United fought for what they believed in and won END OF.
Heres an article form Soccernet...Just about sums it up right........

Sure it's can't really be over? After 22 months of turgid bickering Sheffield United and West Ham United have decided enough is enough and settled out of court over the Carlos Tevez affair.

The biggest culprits are the Football Association and the Premier League. While everyone was questioning the deal for Trevez and Javier Mascherano when it was announced on transfer deadline day in August 2006 it seems few eyebrows were raised at Soho Square. Why was it everyone else in the country could see something wasn't quite right?

It wasn't until Mascherano moved to Liverpool that the problems came to light and the Anfield club raised issues. That was in January 2007 and yet it still took almost three months for any punishment to be handed down. When West Ham were fined £5.5m on April 27 just three rounds of Premier League fixtures remained. Even the independent panel admitted they really should have docked points but the investigation had come too late in the season.

Cue the next moment of stunning work from those in power as they allowed West Ham to re-register Tevez for the final three games even though, technically, it was against transfer rules to register a player after January 31.

West Ham are still in the dock for their behaviour in submitting the documents for the re-registration, so amazingly it may be that we still have not quite got to the very end of this farce. The Hammers deserved to have points taken away from them. They misled the Premier League and the FA to get hold of two of the most coveted players in South American football. That they got their fingers burned is their fault alone.

Come on Corky I know you are a wednesdayite but even through your blue tinted glasses you cant seriously think it was the Blades who brought football into disrepute, think you are just on a wind up and if not then i am at a loss for words

Ha ha you would have thought you Blades would be happy as Larry after getting your compo, but its backfired big time.
A lot of clubs will be looking at United tonight and fans getting in from work and tar United with a brush which may be hard to clean my friend.

Like quite a few Blades fans have quoted other clubs which have played ineligable players have had a points deduction not a big fine.
The fact that United have accepted an out of court settlement says to me and a whole lot of other fans aswell is why accept now after all the fighting.
Surely if United had such a big case they should have carried on with it instead of accepting money which now sets a precident.

Take your blue and white specs off for a second corker- i think that most of football are in agreement that united were delt with unfairly and that we deserved more that what initially happened- i have spoke to leeds, derby, man u, rotherham and even wednesday supporters who said we are right to do what we did.

Im afraid the only people with tar on them is west ham who by paying up out of court- esentially admitted guilt in the matter- united just too the GUARANTEED money while they could- rather than take the risk of not getting as much through the courts.

Its like watching deal or no deal- he decided to deal at £100,00 rather than see if he had the £250,000 box OR the 1p box.

but please don't let your jealousy get in the way of cold hard facts will you
