no- the bus drivers get half of what they deserve wether the management hassle them or not. would the bus drivers support the public when first put the fares up & they say they dont want anymore fare rises? i think not so why should we joe public support them?

I dont know what the strike is about or care, but yeh if they strike there will be less clogged up roads like the last few go on busses you strike (for whatever reason it is) and decrease the congestion for a few days

Last time they were on strike the traffic flowed more freely, so yes, go on strike lads ..... please.
Oh, and can we have the traffic lights off as well on Attercliffe Rd just like after the floods?

i didnt say the drivers put the fares up if you read it properly! i'll make it easier 4 you, would the drivers support the public when the public say they dont want anymore fare rises? i.e the drivers expect the public to support them when they strike but the drivers dont support the public in trying to stop fare increases

just what exactly is your point ? ....... as has been pointed out fare increases have absolutely nothing at all to do with drivers , i feel sure most drivers would wish them to stay the same , having got used to the wayfarer only for it to change again ...... it makes no difference to a driver if your fare is 10p or £5.10p ..... its not his/her money !!!

they go on strike in support of a colleague & expect the public to support them. on the other hand the public complain about fare increases & the public would expect support in return from the drivers it should work both ways

I don't know why they're proposing a strike, but if they do I feel for those who rely on buses... my son for one who needs to get to college every day. I don't support any strikes there are better ways to solve issues.

In other words you are sounding off and talking rot
If "Joe Public" picketed Olive Grove and the drivers ran buses into them to break the line then you would maybe have a point. Perhaps you might find that if Joe Public got of their backsides and inconvenienced themselves a little then drivers might support them. But you now want the bus drivers to fight your battle for you? That's a different thing to YOU starting the battle and asking for their support.

Why should we joe public suffer..... this is a union matter to resolve if they do not agree with their terms and conditions of employment (discipline policy) with First..... I assume First have gone though the various stages as required by law. All employees which ever firm you work for has one and you sign on agreeing to work for them.

So....
The more the job is relied upon, that it, to many people, the more important the job is...the less rights the workers should have?
