How much does your heating cost per hour?

Recommended Posts

Can anyone with a pre payment meter tell me how much their heating costs for an hour (average) Mine takes nearly £1 and I can't keep up with the meter. It's taken £24 in a week and the heating hasn't been on that much. Just had a new system fitted too thats supposed to be economical. I've also tried the comparison sites and can't find a cheaper provider. I'm with EDF at the mo.

We pay about £60 a month for gas - that's heating and hot water for a 4 bed semi!! So £15 a week, and we have the heating on morning / night / when it's cold. Meters are expensive though!

When I was with British Gas there was apparently no standing charge but I found out that money was comeing off it and british Gas said that the money wasn't going to them but the company that owned the meter?

Also with them, They didn't update my meter when the electricity went up so months later when they realised they put it on my meter as a debt.
