I'm trying to find somewhere to take a friend out, so I was just wondering if anyone knew good tea rooms/houses in the vicinity of Sheffield city centre? Or equally any cafes that serve a decent range of tea (preferably loose leaf...proper stuff!).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cocoa on Ecclesall road has a good choice of tea and also the yummy thick hot chocolate. I think the girls post on here so you could get more details on the range of teas from them.

If you can drive, there's a great little Tea room at Wortley Hall in Wortley which isn't far from Sheffield.

Alas, I cannot drive, so will be relying on public transport.

Thanks for the replies, I've now been told by someone else that Cocoa is fantastic so I think I shall head there!

Good choice. I think there have also been several threads on Cocoa on here. I'm not sure how to link to them! The cocoa lounge (where you have your drink) is a t the back of the shop. It's kind of quirky but in a nice way. you can also sit upstairs. Make sure you try the cup cakes too. It's making my mouth water just thinking about them!

Hello all,

Cocoa serves over 40 types of loose leaf tea including black, white, green, oolong, herbal, rooibos and flowering teas. The Cocoa lounge is open everyday but Sunday, hope to see you there!
