Father Christmas was patrolling around ASDA this afternoon, full costume, in one of those invalid shopping trolleys. OK they were collecting money for charity but I heard more than one toddler ask what he was doing there.
As an aside, the collectors had buckets that they were thrusting in people's way as they left. I work for a charity and it surprised me that the buckets weren't sealed. Just an aside.

It's July next month, you know. Then it's August, which is the month that shops traditionally get their Christmas stock in.

You will be able to buy your christmas cards (this years) form next month.
I have seen easter eggs for sale in December
Its all hidden behind "we give our customers enough opportunity to buy their goods"
BOLL**KS
If sell stuff first week in september then for Asda
24 hours a day 4 days a week
6 hours sunday
16 hours Monday (do they open at 8 on monday?)
22 hours saturday
140 hours per week open
From 1st september to 23rd December is 17 weeks and one day
2404 hours open
265 shops (source asda website)
means if they stock form 1st of september you only have 637060 hours of shopping available to get your christmas pudding
that doesnt include internet shopping at another 2880 hours available
Even worse thats over half a million hours of Slade and Mariah carey for the staff to listen to
AND THATS JUST ASDA!!!
LEAVE XMAS TILL DECEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I remember rightly they have the toy fairs, where the retailers decide what we are going to buy at Christmas, happen in January. Makes you see how we are manipulated.

I was thinking the same thing about Santa... Just as I was buying some strappy tops for my hols, I couldnt believe what I was hearing lol!
