It is my fave indian place but every time we order and tot up the prices the man at the door seems to charge what the hell he wants. They also have no proper printed out recipt, and the one he actually has he is relucant to give over. Anyone else had experiences from them?

(just to add, we ordered from an old menu, but the prices all matched the newone they gave us...)

Maybe the owner wants to start looking at the people he employs then!

I always ask on the phone how much the order is during ordering. I always tip anyway as the people who deliver seem to take ages getting the change out even if its only 10p but they probably do this so you say to them "ah its ok mate keep the change". Grr why don't they just be honest and maybe they would not need to con people as people would be more willing to tip.

I read this thread earlier tonight and didn't think much of it, until I went to collect my takeaway from Hanifah a few hours later!

I worked out in advance how much it would be (including 10% discount for collection) £15.03. When he gave me my order, he said it would be £15.10 with discount. I didn't quibble over 7p, so handed over a £20 note plus 10p. He fumbled around in the change drawer and said "sorry for all change, I don't have any fivers" which was fair enough, but I checked the change, and there were 3 £1 coins and 2 50p's.

I only checked it because of reading this thread earlier. I was half way through telling him he owed me another pound but before I cound finish, he said "oh sorry, I owe you another pound don't I". The cheeky b*gger! He obviously did it on purpose because he managed to give me another pound from a big pile of them in the till, so why the need for 50p's? I thought about it on way home and realised this is probably why he gave me so much change (with 50p's) to try and make it look like more. They must do this quite a lot... peed me off, but I like their food, so will keep going but just double check change in future!

Thanks Deathaxe for starting this thread, i'd have been £1 poorer this evening otherwise!
