I have a large Access database to which I want to add a new Yes/No field.

For most of the records in the database, the required value will be Yes.

If I set the default value to Yes, this only affect new records subequently added. How do I set up this field so that the exisiting records are marked as Yes, and I can just manually change to No the few records that require this?

Thanks

Solved it myself! I used an update query to change all the No records to Yes.

Might not have been the most elegant method, but it worked....
