Dirty, dirty, dirty southern sc**bags.
They daren't play Talbot because they couldn't afford to pay Wednesday the
balance. If it weren't for bad luck, Wednesday wunt have any luck at all.

A little unfair.

They WERE dirty dirty southern scumbags

Their new regime is now exiting the football league because of what went before....Its not like some teams I could (LEEDS) mention that do things deliberately, I have no doubt that Luton really couldn't afford the arrangement, but, as would any team in their situation, do whatever they can to try to beat the ridiculous penalty imposed.

(And I'm no lover of Luton and it's back-passage entry..ooer missus.. after all the stick we took from them gloating over the league one title)...but I still think the penalty imposed on the new regime that took over from the rotten one is being punished too harshly for the mistakes of their predecessors, considering they had already slumped down the league as a result of mismanagement.

Wasn't the fee around £125, with a further £125k based on appearances etc?

I thought Luton had a bargain at the time because I quite liked Talbot, but shows you how easily a career can pretty much end.

could just be me being cynical
but there's a bloke interested in chesterfield f.c. (no names, don't fancy being sued )
he would know terms and conditions of Talbot's contract, has a dislike for Wednesday and especially its fans,
can picture him with a arrogant smirk on his face over this episode
obviously not suggesting the tw@t had a hand in the deal tho
