Childcare element of working tax

Hi all,

Does anyone know if when you make a claim for childcare costs how long it takes for them to sort the payments out ?

Kids are going to be starting on 1st Feb and we've heard that they pay it 2 weeks in arrears but were wondering if anyone else had any experience of this ?

I just recently claimed for this. I phoned on the Sunday before my lo started at childminders, he said they always pay from the Sunday before, and I had my first payment in the bank for childcare costs on the Thursday of that week.

I agree with biffalo - they are very quick at paying out.
