I'm going. I'm not emo, a kid or 50.
I'm takin the other half tho. She can act like a spoilt five year old, like a pensioner when I p*ss her off, and is as miserable as an emo at times. So that probably evens it up

I couldnt comment on Alter Bridge as iv never heard them before. They dont turn up at the ones i goto (i think) im normally having too much of a good time to notice who is around me. Except from when i saw My Chemical Romance at Leeds fest once... i didnt want to see them Alkaline Trio and Turbonegro were on after them and there were loads of little people watching them

Hmmm...I'm 49 and will be at that gig. I'm there for the special guests Seether, not Staind in particular.
So, Cheesemaster.... does that mean when I hit 50 I'll have to take up knitting or gardening instead of going to rock gigs??
I'd better tell my husband to stay at home...he's 52!

shouldnt you be staying home listning to clif richards? :0 ok i'll say it again as i mean it, ban stupid kids who have to fetch there mums and dads, the mums and dads who have no clue who the singers are, the ones who stare blankly at the crowd rather than gig, the ones who complain that people are pushing into them, and that they are getting squashed to the security, wasting tickets somebody else may have needed, i was amazed when i saw her complaining, thinking to myself what did she expect, a whole section just for her to stand in cuz she complained lol, it wasnt you was it?

Ye gods...Cliff Richard?? I'd rather stick needles in my eyes!!
Nah, I'm one of the cool parents that likes most of the same music as my teenage metal-head sons!!
We go to a lot of the same gigs as a family. I draw the line at moshing though, you'll not see me in the pits.
You do see a lot of people that make you wonder why they bothered coming though.... but not just us old farts..
So...do you like Seether, Cheese??

You'll have to let me know what you think after you've seen/heard them live.
Not a bit constipated, I promise..

I've got last 2 Seether albums, bought just cos of this gig incidentally, and they aren't too bad.
I'm quite looking forward to the gig, but the lad I normally go to gigs with said "if I want to listen to 2 hours of bloody boring ballads, I'll buy a Maria McKee record". He's not keen on Staind
As to who to ban from gigs...teenagers with backpacks. Notice it more at the Leadmill than anywhere else. You're at a gig, not camping. Why does anyone need to take one.

I'm going and am most certainly not old or emo nor do I wear ridiculous backpacks ;-)
Seether and Staind are both my favourite bands in the world! I've seen them both before and they are amazing performers! I haven't gotten my ticket yet as I had to wait for my student loan to come in as I am a seriously skint student but will be popping to the academy tomorrow to get one. I am so excited, although I am going on my own as all my friends have seriously bad taste in music and don't like either of the bands but I will happily be drunk and singing away so hopefully won't feel like a loner too much!
I've never been to the venue to see a gig before, are the stalls-standing tickets just like normal standing tickets?? Can you get close up to the stage??

Thankyou I just wondered as I once went to a gig where the floor area was seperated into different areas and I thought I had a normal standing ticket where you could go anywhere on the floor area but ended up being stuck in some raised section at the back
