Right two weeks ago I had a kitchen fitted, the washer/dryer they put in supposed to have a self cleaning filter. I have had to clean this three times, the filter is very low. so when I have cleaned it myself due to washer not working. water pours out all over my floor and under my new units.

Told my kitchen fitters and they say they will look at it, I told them I want a washer/dryer with a filter higher. Have I got a right to do this?
Can they refuse to change it?

i dont think they will, they cant return it so would be out of pocket for 2 appliances rather than 1.

i would try the manufacturer, there may be a fault with it, it should not leak water when removing so is not fit for purpose if this is the case.

also if it is self cleaning why are you cleaning it again maybe a fault .. it is under warranty so should be an easy fix.

i should imagine you picked the machine? if so you should have looked into it further,
as you should with anything you purchase if its a fault then yes you are entitled to a repair replacement

No I did not pick the washer they did. I just told them what I wanted ie. spin speed but that was wrong too.
The fitter is here he told me I would have to sort it out.
