Riding my bike at 2mph round Hyde Park Corner with hundreds of other cyclists moaning about pollution, congestion, mad taxi drivers etc.
Subscribing to esoteric publications about Permaculture, Transport and Land Use Planning, Obscure Amazonian Tribes in a desire to implement a world Utopia Mr HG Wells would be proud of.
And yet still helping develop radar systems for the East/West German border.
However, totally sympathetic to the struggling poor and happy to devote as much tax as possible to lend a hand to my fellow man and woman.

Dropped the job with the Masters Of War and now backpacking the world with the other half, poking my nose into exotic cultures, curries and nasty diseases. Generally doing my bit to spread global harmony, breaking down cultural barriers and keeping myself on holiday for as long as possible.
Back from hols and in new job in NHS, supporting noble clinicians and doing my bit in the fight to improve the lot of my fellow man.
Heres me now at 40:
Extremely protective of my 3 year old and new 10 month old baby.
Deeply shocked by what happened to Baby P and Shannon Matthews. Fully supportive of anyone who wants to rid the world of the 'burgeoning peasant underclass' starting with child abusers, drug addicts, drunks, benefit fraudsters, online con artists, hustlers, wanabee gangsters and filthy chavsters of all denominations. Wise enough not to do it myself.
Not bothered about sending more aid to basket case failed states as it only buys gold plated bathroom suites for their leaders
Not bothered with diverting any cash to muppets who cant get a job because they messed around at school, got depressed and ended up on Incapacity Benefit for 5 years and quite like their career choice.
Refuse to pay any tax for free houses for pregnancy prone children, wanabee gangsters, basket case Social Worker Departments etc - will only pay for superfast rail links, wonderful hospitals, high quality jobs, nicely designed buildings, well maintained parks and surroundings not full of rubbish, old car tyres, KFC wrappers, Stella cans etc.

Still riding my bike and refusing to replace my broken down car until I tire of getting the bus and taxis to take sick children to the hospital.
My dad said everyone is Leftwing at 20 and right wing at 40, however I never believed him.
Is this familiar to anyone else? Or am I just a sad old facist with a fetish for human powered vehicles?
