I believe the word beginning with B that means nonsense, drivel or something otherwise inadequate should be allowed on SF. It's time to allow this most useful of words on SF and get with the times. We can say "a load of old balls" so why not the dreaded B word?
The word I'm talking about is the one that was used in the title of the Sex Pistols first album " Never mind the B*******, Here's the Sex Pistols"
A week after its release, a policewoman spotted a window display in a record shop which consisted of a dozen Sex Pistols posters and album covers, all with the "B" word prominently displayed.
She marched into the shop, ordered the display to be dismantled and arrested the manager, who was charged under the Indecent Advertising Act.
The case, heard in the central city of Nottingham later that month, revolved around the alleged indecency of the word ******** — British slang for testicles.
The decisive evidence came from James Kingsley, a professor of English at Nottingham University and a former priest, who successfully argued that the word was accepted slang and had been in use for centuries.
He explained that a bollock was an Anglo-Saxon word meaning "small ball." ******** was also 18th century slang for clergymen, owing to their reputation for talking nonsense, or, in common parlance, a load of old balls.
Kingsley won the day, the shop manager was acquitted

No, goes against the whole "family friendly" focus of the forum.

I haven't figured out why crap is allowed either
I don't like how lenient SF now is with poor language - it only serves to encourage more and worse poor language
if you can't express yourself without swearing, you're not trying hard enough
(says she who swears fluently in real life )

But ******** isn't a swear word, it's been proven in a court of law. That was my whole point.

When you get down to the very core of a swear word, it's just a selection of letters that we use in a whole host of other words, put together to mean something crass. Surely then we at SF could create our own NEW swear words that would be allowed and have a variety of meanings, but that could be used to put across a feeling similar to swearing.
For example: This car you sold me is erty, it doesn't work, it doesn't go, I'm golted you thought you could sell me this piece of yuft and when I next see you I'm gonna bampy kick your head in.
Or something like that...

Perhaps some people don’t want bad language forced upon them in their own home, before anyone starts I have worked in the steel industry for 30 years and heard it all before but it doesn’t mean I want to read it at home as well.

It is indeed an Anglo-Saxon word for small ball. The bollock dagger was popular in the 13th century. It is a type of dagger with a distinctively shaped shaft, with two oval swellings at the guard resembling male genitalia. This is the source of the expression, to get, or give, a "bollocking", meaning to give or receive a severe chastisement.
See I didn't swear once!

Are you serious? A form of chastisement was to stab someone with a knife that was eerily reminiscent of a pair of testicles? No wonder they call them the dark ages.
