Yeah, then carefully snap off the big bits and with a sharp knife, carve the rest off. Refreeze if necessary to keep the stuff stiff when working it.

Think it's Methylated Sprit (or does this do the same thing as white spirit?)

Best way is to shove it in freezer, then crack off! Honest sounds daft but works!

No need to freeze your jeans - just rub ice cubes on the affected parts for about 10 mins then scrape off with a dull knife first the big and then the small bits - job done it worked for me !

Cut the area completely out and then stitch a BNP badge over the hole.

A bit late now, but it would have been an idea to speak to the manager if you were in a bar/cafe/restaurant etc.
This happened to me a couple of years ago and the manager agreed to pay the bill for a new pair of trousers.

If you are left with some residue after the freezing then there's a solution called 'Sticky Stuff Remover' which will get the remainder out of your jeans without harming the fabric. I think I got my bottle of it from Lakeland, but it was rather a long time ago so they probably sell it all over the place now.
